As time ticks on I am thoughtless, blank, empty
with each passing minute, I feel the pressure of incomplete obligation
Limitations of time leave me wanting more
but the clock denies me
It is a daily challenge to accommodate accomplishments
within an allotted time
As the task wedge expands, my freedom diminishes
I begin to resemble a fish caught on a line,
flailing about in a personal struggle to break free from that which binds
Time is the tether that stifles my stream
